This letter constitutes a written request for public records pursuant to the Inspection of Public Records Act. I respectfully request inspection of the following public records in the custody or control of the City of Las Cruces, or any agency or subdivision thereof.

All current/open contracts between the City of Las Cruces, or any agency or subdivision thereof, for legal services to include paralegals, attorneys, and private investigators.

Please inform me if this request does not adequately describe any of the records with sufficient specificity for you to make a reasonable response and I will attempt to reformulate this request in a manner that meets your requirements.

I understand that the Inspection of Public Records Act does not require you to create a record. Therefore, if the records are not available specifically as requested, I request all records containing the requested information
 
If your agency does not maintain these records, please forward this request to the designated custodian and notify me of this action.
 
If you believe that this request includes exempt information that can not be released, then please specifically describe those exempt records, provide the reason you believe it to be exempt, redact that information from the records that are not exempt, and provide me with the name and position of the person(s) responsible for this decision.
 
I request that the records be provided immediately but if not possible no later than 15 business days from the date this request is sent. In accordance with NMSA 14-2-9(B), I specifically request that the records be sent to me in electronic form and emailed to me at the address specified in this request.  If your agency has only the ability to produce hard copies, then please notify me when the records will be available for examination.  Please also make reasonable accommodations for me to use my own reproduction equipment (e.g. digital camera, cell phone, portable scanner) to copy the records.
